Cottage Country vs Toronto Beaches – Episode #27

Warmer weather often turns people’s thoughts to getting away from it all, and a recent survey reveals that many Ontarians love their cottages…..or may I suggest love their house in the Toronto Beaches instead???

A recent survey conducted by Royal LePage showed Ontarians are more likely to buy a cottage today. 61% of prospective recreational buyers are likely to buy a cottage on a lake in the next two years.

The three most important attributes of a recreational property based on the polls showed:

1. 47% want a four seasons cottage
2. 45% prefer a cottage to be in a quiet area
3. 26% look for potential rental income

Another important statistic I found worth mentioning is that 89% of Canadians believe a vacation home is a good long-term investment.

Now based on all these statistics….can’t the Toronto Beaches be your cottage 365 days a year?

Owning a home/investment property in the Toronto Beaches can offer you the following:

• Four seasons home…. YES!
• Living on a quiet street….YES!
• Possibility of rental income….YES!
• Good long-term investment….YES!
